Retaining Your Truck Mechanics & Fleet Technicians

Retaining Your Truck Mechanics & Fleet Technicians

However, the continuing shortage of truck mechanics and fleet technicians may negatively impact logistics more than the driver shortage. Like driver shortages, mechanic and technician shortages can affect the transport of goods. But not having enough mechanics and technicians also impacts longevity of equipment and (read more)

Rural King truck graphics by TKO Graphix

At first glance, one might wonder if this 53’ semi-trailer wrap is sponsored by Rural King, Redbrand Fencing, or the FFA. Although it’s Rural King’s trailer, the wrap promotes all three brands / entities. We’ve wrapped a dozen trailers for Rural King, but unlike most fleets, each Rural King trailer is wrapped with a different design. Why the Trucking Industry Will Finish Strong in 2013

Why the Trucking Industry Will Finish Strong in 2013

What To Do About The Truck Driver Shortage

What To Do About The Truck Driver Shortage

The Tractor Trailer of the Future

The Tractor Trailer of the Future
Will the tractor trailer of the future look like something out of a science fiction movie? Most likely, as aerodynamics continue to be critical due to fuel costs. Is CSA Scoring Fair to the Trucking Industry?

Since 2010, the trucking industry has generally supported the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) programs, but it may be time to question the credibility of some of their data gathering methods. In a recent white paper from the ATAUnderreporting of Commercial Motor Vehicle Crashes, they state, “Recent research conducted by UMTRI (University of (read more)

Trucking: America’s Small Business

Trucking: America's Small Business

When you think of a trucking company, who do you think of? Probably not the owner/operator who lives in your neighborhood, or the small company with six trucks just down the street. For hire carriers, such as UPS, FedEx, Roadway, and Yellow Freight, are names we’re all familiar with. PepsiCo, Coca Cola, and Wall–Mart lead the way among private (read more)
