Vehicle Wrap Trends: Mini-Cooper Matte Vinyl Wrap

Latest Vehicle Wrap Tends: Mini-Cooper, Matte Vinyl Car Wrap

This matte finished Mini-Cooper is an example of a recent trend in vehicle wraps – wrapping for finish rather than design, and it’s impressive. Car wraps have traditionally included multiple elements of color and artwork. The Cooper pictured only has two elements — the overall matte finish with a carbon fiber styled hood. Together, they give the Mini a classic, elegant, and sophisticated look.

The material used is 3M’s Scotchprint Wrap Film Series 1080. According to Bill Moss, TKO Graphix Installation Manager, “Unlike similar materials, which can be difficult to work with, the 3M 1080 Series worked great. It conformed without blemishes. It’s amazing material.” The series comes in a variety of colors and finishes (PDF), including satin, matte, gloss, brushed metal, and carbon fiber.

If you’d like to wrap your car in… say, titanium brushed metal, with an anthracite carbon fiber hood, and gloss sterling silver bumpers, we’d love to help you.
